Effective 14 October 2026
Orrery Space is a free website about space, used by children, students, teachers and everyone else. It has no accounts and asks no one for a name, an email address or a photo. This page says what is collected anyway, by whom, and how to stop it.
Orrery Space (orreryspace.com) is made and run by Harsh Unagar in India. Questions about privacy, and requests to see, correct or delete information, go to harshunagar@orreryspace.com.
Orrery Space keeps a few settings in your browser's local storage, on your own device: your quiz stars, badges and quests, the S2 race's best score, the guide's level and language, units, sound on or off, the voice for the tour, the quality setting, the galaxy log, and a birthday if you type one into the time machine. None of it is sent anywhere. The 3D app also keeps a copy of itself so it opens offline. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes all of it.
Orrery Space uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits: which pages are read, which worlds are picked and which views of the app are opened (for example the Moon explorer or galaxy mode), searches in the galaxy map, links followed out, the main button on a world's, system's or landing site's page, the level and language chosen in the guide, printing the lessons, and error messages, so that bugs can be found. Google records the browser, device type, screen size and an approximate location (country and city, worked out from the IP address, which Google Analytics 4 does not store).
_ga and _ga_LRPDS06DFS, which last up to two years.Google AdSense shows ads on the home page, the Lunar Mission Browser and the reference pages (worlds, planetary systems, galaxies). It shows none in the 3D app, the guide or the lessons.
Orrery Space is for everyone, children included. There is no sign-up, chat, comment box or upload anywhere on it. On the pages written for children there are no ads and no analytics cookies, and nowhere on the site are ads personalised. Orrery Space asks no one for personal information, and does not knowingly collect it from children. If you are a parent or teacher and think a child's information has reached us, for example in an email, write to harshunagar@orreryspace.com and it will be deleted.
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, the GDPR in Europe and the UK, and the privacy laws of US states, you can ask what information about you is held, and have it corrected or deleted. Orrery Space itself holds none beyond any email you send, which is kept only to answer it. For what Google holds, use the links above or My Ad Center. Write to harshunagar@orreryspace.com; you will get an answer within 30 days.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with its date.
